Lanun is currently in development, but the following features are either planned for inclusion or already completed:
- Point-and-click interface to navigate environment and interact with objects
- Directional attacks based on mouse position, with attacks controlled through double-click or space bar
- "Target Path Node" system to allow Flash-friendly path finding
- User interface that includes inventory, pause and health meter, gunpowder and other game functions
- Event-based level design
- Lighting and particle affects
- Enemy AI includes three separate group actions: Wander, Approach and Attack
- Scripted sequences for enemy AI
- Sound objects played on command
